The first traces of this famous wine were found in the first half of the 7th century. At this time, the owner donated the vineyard to the convent of Bèze. The town, which has the privilege to produce these known wines is located 12 km south of Dijon and touches on the south the town Morey-St-Denis. The wines produced in Gevrey were soon synonymous of quality. By royal order, the town was authorized in 1847 to add the name of the best-known wine to their production. The Chambertin was also the favourite wine of Napoleon. The Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Bel Air has a dark red colour with nice tints. It offers a well-balanced aroma with a fine bouquet of red fruits. In the mouth, it is a thick, balanced and elegant wine. Médaille d'or "La Sélection" (90 points)
